When I work with interior designers, the one thing I always hear is, “Do I really have to blog? I don’t know what to write about! Photos are enough right?” I hate to tell you – but your blog isn’t a glorified portfolio for your work. Yes, it can be a place to showcase new projects, but there’s so much secrecy around various parts of the design process. Use your blog to explain these nuances and educate your potential future clients! A completely clueless client in any industry takes more time to guide through the process, so I definitely recommend investing now with your time. If you have no idea where to start, scroll through for 30 blog post ideas specifically for interior designers!
If you’re more of a visual person, you can download the image below to keep track of these ideas on your local computer!
Remember that you can always guide future clients to these same posts if the information still applies YEARS from now – and that much forethought makes you look like even more of an expert in their eyes!
I know I have a few of you out there saying “well Instagram works fine for me.” That could be true, but you don’t own that platform. We’ve seen how outages that go on for hours really do mess with content calendars. So even if you have great information in your feed or in your stories, repurpose it into blog posts that live on your own domain for longer than 24 hours. Blog posts are searchable for a very long time, so putting the investment in now means you have a continuous way of being put in front of new eyeballs every time someone searches for a relevant key word from your blog post ideas. It’s worth it!!

I still love design so much, so I have to put my former career and all of it’s nuances to good use, right? Fill out an inquiry here if this sounds like just what you’re looking for!
